Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 review

If any GPU could be considered to rule the roost, it would be the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090. The company’s flagship can handle hardcore gaming and 3D rendering thanks to the 24GB of GDDR6X RAM tucked behind that huge heatsink. So, even with the newest AAA games, it delivers amazing 4K performance and can even handle 8K gaming at 60fps, though it’s not quite perfect at that level.

It’s no wonder Nvidia replaced the two highest performing graphics cards of the previous generation, the Nvidia Titan RTX and the RTX 2080 Ti, with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090. Those GPUs might have set a high bar to meet, but the 3090 is quite the powerhouse and is more than capable.

Unfortunately, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 comes at quite a premium, making alternatives like the RTX 3080 and the Radeon RX 6900XT more attractive to most mainstream gamers out there. And, while it can handle the best PC games without breaking a sweat, it’s more attractive to those who need some heavy graphical lifting for 3D animation and video rendering – especially at that price. Essentially, this GPU best serves those who don’t care about price and want the best or those with projects that require hardware-accelerated rendering.
